Ireland’s largest offshore island, Achill is joined to the mainland and is 14 miles long and 12 miles wide.

Five European Blue Flag beaches are located on Achill, as well as the spectacular Atlantic Drive.

The island possesses some of the most spectacular cliff faces in Europe.

There is a nine hole golf course at Keel on the island.

Also located on the island is the Achill Island Scuba Dive Centre, which organizes daily boat dives, with equipment rental available.
